Like all Home Cinema amps, this unit ideally needs at least two inches of free air space above it, in order to ventilate properly.
This unit is fitted with dual wi-fi antenna, which work best when put up, but add 70mm to the height of the unit
Music streaming via wire is far more reliable than via Wi-Fi. If you can't run an Ethernet cable from your router to this unit, then simply buy a pair of mains Ethernet extenders from Amazon for around £25. They plug into your mains sockets and use the mains wiring in your house as an Ethernet cable - they are brilliant!
Bluetooth only works reliably if both the sending and receiving units are in the same room.

Denon AVR-X3300W 7.2 network receiver
Highly reviewed big brother of the incredibly popular AVR-X2300 !

Denon's £499 AVR-X2300 is quickly establishing itself as one of the company's most popular Home Cinema amps ever, with huge sales and a string of good reviews to its name. It is therefore not that surprising to find its big brother sharing some of the 2300's limelight, because everything the 2300 does, the 3300 does too - only better! More power, better sound quality, better upscaling, better auto set-up and better connectivity. Put simply, the 3300 should be viewed as a supercharged 2300 - which is exactly what the respected audiophile magazine What Hi-Fi concluded when it gave the 3300 its 'walk on water' five star review, recently.

Here we have a receiver with an SRP of just £799, boasting 8 x HDMI in, plus twin HDMI out (with all HDMI inputs / outputs boasting the latest HDMI 2.0a (HDR) and HDCP 2.2 spec), plus 7 x 180 watts of power, plus Dolby Atmos up to 5.1.2, plus Apple Airplay, plus Spotify Connect, plus Wi-Fi, plus Bluetooth,  plus 24 / 192 streaming, plus support for DSD up to 5.6MHz, plus (via future firmware update) DTS:X decoding technology. In other words, it's got the lot - just about everything you could ever want in a home cinema receiver at this price point. That is particularly relevant when you consider that some of the competing amplifiers haven't got every box ticked - the equivalent Yamaha amp for example only has the all-important HDCP 2.2 support on three of its inputs. The 3300 also arguably beats the competition on outright performance, with a wonderfully rich, dynamic, 'well-steered' presentation that sucks you right into the middle of the action, whether you are watching a movie or listing to your favorite music. This amp has the perfect audio balance that so many rivals can only dream of. Add to the mix a superb, free iOs / Android control app and you have the recipe for a hugely successful product.

Brimming with the latest audio and video technologies, the AVR-X3300W delivers incredibly immersive surround sound, underpinned by the gloriously smooth Denon delivery that has attracted so many customers to the brand over the last 40+ years. Highly recommended!
