We all enjoy good music, so why restrict it to one room of the house? I might fancy waking up with Kylie; I might fancy eating a curry with the Spice Girls; or I might fancy going to the loo with George Michael (!) but as my house stands at the moment, I can't do any of these things, because (like most people) my music is 'trapped' in the room it's stored in - the lounge. I obviously need a Sonos system!
If I had one, I could wirelessly pipe any of the music from my LPs, CDs or my iTunes library into any room I choose - all in high quality and all without compromising the sound of my main Hi-Fi. I could have different rooms at different volumes, and different songs playing in different rooms - or I could program them to all join together in 'party mode'. What's more, I could access most of the world's radio stations and just about every piece of music that's ever been recorded, using the Napster website - then pipe that all round the house too!
Any song, in any room, with superb sound quality, and all controlled from the palm of your hand! Systems like this have been possible in the past, as long as the name on the bottom of your cheque book was 'Richard Branson' and you were prepared to have your house wired like a telephone exchange! Not so with Sonos, because their systems start at just a few hundred pounds and are (wait for it) WIRELESS! That's right - ultra high quality, ultra compact, ultra flexible and NO WIRES between rooms! Which is probably why Sonos are one of the fastest expanding companies in Audio at the moment, with a turnover that roughly equates to the rest of the industry put together!
